To access our online schedule, please register for our Parent Portal using the button below. We no longer post our schedule on our website because our classes are filling too quickly to keep our availabilty accurate. 

Our Classes

Preschool 1 

The Preschool 1 Class teaches ballet, tumbling and creative movement to 2-year-old students, who are new to dance. We will focus on gross motor skills, self-control, goal orientation, strength and flexibility, and social skills. Dance is a powerful teaching tool for this age group. Attire: pink leotard, pink dance tights and pink ballet shoes. Please put hair up and out of the face (skirt optional).

 

Preschool 2

The Preschool 2 Class teaches tap, ballet and creative movement/tumbling to 3-year-old students, who are new to dance. We will focus on training the musical ear, skill mastery, gross motor skills and self-confidence.  Attire: pink leotard, pink dance tights, pink ballet shoes, and black tap shoes with elastic ties. Please put hair up and out of the face (skirt optional).

 

Preschool 3

Preschool 3 teaches tap, ballet and creative movement to 4 and 5 year-old students. Your child will learn choreography, mastery of skills, music memory, gross motor skills and gain in strength and flexibility. Attire: pink leotard, pink dance tights, pink ballet shoes, and black tap shoes with elastic ties. Please put hair up and out of the face (skirt optional).

 

BTBJ

Beginner Tap, Ballet and Jazz (BTBJ) is for 5-7 year-old students. They will learn choreography for multiple dance disciplines. They will grow in strength, flexibility, alignment and attention to detail.  Attire: black leotards, pink tights, black tap shoes, pink ballet shoes and hair up in a bun. (skirts are optional) 

 

ITBJ

Intermediate Tap, Ballet and Jazz (ITBJ) is for 7-9 year-old students. They will learn intermediate choreography for multiple dance disciplines. They will grow in stability, collaboration, grace and skill. Attire: black leotards, pink tights, black tap shoes, pink ballet shoes and hair up in a bun. (skirts are optional) 

 

Conditioning

 This one hour class focuses on proper placement, building core strength, stability in joints, awareness of weaknesses and areas of inflexibility and increasing endurance. These exercises include, but are not limited to Pilates, strengthening, and stretching. This class is designed to give dancers the correct tools to apply throughout their week to any class as they work towards their dance goals. The skills learned in this class will improve turns, jumps and proper placement, which are substantial goals every dancer wants to achieve.  Conditioning Class is designed to improve strength and prevent injuries in our dancers taking multiple classes. This class will not have a recital piece. Parents can also join their dancers in this class. Attire: Black leotard, black leggings, all-black dance sneakers with black soles and logos, dance tank or dance t-shirt, and hair in a ponytail.

 

Broadway Dance

Broadway Dance is designed to teach students Broadway-style dance. We incorporate show tunes and choreography from the great Broadway choreographersAttire: black leotards, pink tights, tan jazz shoes and hair up in a bun. (jazz shorts and skirts are optional) Broadway III needs tan character heels no higher than 2 inches.

 

Ballet

Students will learn classical ballet techniques and terminology. The ballet curriculum is based on a combination of Russian and French methods. In all levels, students will be working towards correct alignment, strength, flexibility, musicality and grace. Technique will be age appropriate for all levels, concentrating on combinations that will be routine so they may be mastered by the end of the year. Attire: black leotards, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and hair up in a bun. Jazz shorts are not allowed in this class. (skirts are optional) 

 

Dance Company (GCDC)

Grace Conservatory Dance Company (GCDC) meets once weekly for rehearsal and choreography. Dancers must audition and be accepted before being added to this class. Attire: Black leotard, pink convertible dance tights, tan jazz shoes, black jazz shorts or pants and hair in a bun.

 

Tap

Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Students will learn styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap. The class emphasis is on developing technique, producing clear sounds and speed of movement. As students progress, the curriculum will become increasingly more intricate and complex. Attire: black leotards, pink dance tights, black tap shoe, optional black jazz pants or optional jazz shorts and hair up in a bun. 

 

Jazz

Jazz class will focus on developing progressions and combinations. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, street and contemporary to develop a well-rounded technique and improve performance quality. Attire: black leotards, pink dance tights, tan jazz shoes, optional black jazz pants or optional jazz shorts and hair up in a bun. 

 

Pre-Pointe/Pointe

Pre-Pointe and Pointe class is the most advanced ballet class offered for students age 14-18 years-old. Students will only be allowed to join this class with the approval of the studio director. Attire: black leotards, pink dance tights, pink ballet shoes and hair up in a bun. (skirts are optional) Purchase pink pre-pointe or pointe shoes.

 

Contemporary

Contemporary dance combines elements of ballet, lyrical and modern styles. Students will build strength and learn to improvise as they master fluid choreography.  Attire: Black leotard, pink convertible dance tights, tan lyrical shoes, or optional black leggings and hair in a bun.

 

Hip Hop

Hip hop is a high-energy class that will encourage students to infuse individual style and personality into their movements. Class includes upper and lower body conditioning to build strength and stamina. Attire: Black leotard, black leggings, all-black dance sneakers with black soles and logos, dance tank or dance t-shirt, and hair in a ponytail.

 

Hip Hop for 4&5 Year Olds

Hip hop is a high-energy class that will encourage students to infuse individual style and personality into their movements. This class is geared towards 4 and 5 years olds with fun and active movement. Attire: black leotard, black leggings, and all-black dance sneakers with black soles and logos.

 

Acro

Acro is for students looking to add tricks and skills to their repertoire. This class will include some jazz technique as well. Attire: Black Leotard, pink convertible dance tights , optional dance shorts or jazz pants, and no shoes. Hair in a bun.

 

Boys Hip Hop

Hip Hop Boys Class for ages 6-12 years old will focus on high energy moves, tricks and complex choreography. Attire below. All-black dance sneakers with black soles and logos.

 

Male Attire: All male dancers will wear black shoes (tap, jazz, ballet), a white fitted dance shirt, and black male jazz pants for all classes. Male students ages 12-18 also must wear a dance belt.

 

***Students will not be allowed to dance if they are not wearing leotards and dance tights.***

Class Fees

  • Tuition: Our tuition is $68 per month. We do not prorate tuition for holidays (most months have 4 classes, some have 5 or 3). However, all classes meet at least 40 times throughout the dance year including rehearsals and performances.
  • Registration Fee: Our registration fee is $45 per family, and it is non-refundable.
  • Discounts: We offer a 5% discount after the 2nd class, and a 10% discount after the 4th class. There is also a 5% family discount. Our maximum monthly tuition for a family is $350.
